Rabbi Stephen Berger
Director of Education
Rabbi
Berger is a dynamic and energetic educator who strives to connect with
and inspire each of his students. He has many years of experience
educating Jewish teens in both formal and informal settings. He is
passionate about instilling within his students a deep love and appreciation of
Torah and Jewish tradition. Rabbi Berger currently serves as Regional
Director of the Northwest region of NCSY, the parent organization of
Torah High. He received rabbinical ordination in Israel,
where he lived for nine years. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Education degree during the summers at Yeshiva University's Azraeli Graduate School of Education. He and his wife, Sarah, have five children, including two sets of twins.

Rabbi Shalom Meltzer
Educator
Rabbi Meltzer, who has been teaching at Vancouver's Pacific Torah Institute and Shalhevet Girls High School for the last six years, has an extensive background in Jewish education. He received advanced rabbinical ordination from the Rabbinical Seminary of America (Yeshivat Chofetz Chaim) in Queens, New York. For five years, he worked as the Director of the Bronx Chapter of NCSY. He is a passionate educator known for his warmth and patience.

Melanie Mernick
Educator
Melanie Mernick recently arrived in Vancouver from Toronto together with her husband, Rabbi Moe Mernick, who is the new Vancouver NCSY Chapter Director. Melanie has a extensive experience teaching in a multitude of settings: schools, summer camps, and synagogues. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the Moreshet Institute, Neve Yerushalyim, and studied at the Me'ohr Beis Yaacov Teachers Seminary, both in Israel.
Shoshana Burton
Educator
Shoshana Burton is an experienced Hebrew-language educator. She has taught Hebrew and Jewish Studies courses at King David High School for more than ten years, and is actively involved in Vancouver's Jewish community. She is spirited and energetic, and knows how to bring humour and fun to the classroom.
